- Scanned all control modules for relevant faults. Found P0301, Cylinder #1 misfire, & P2302, Coil #1 improper ionization. Found new ignition coil and spark plug recently replaced at cylinder #1. Swapped ignition coil with cylinder #3, started engine, and observed misfire monitors; noted #1 still misfiring. Attached laboratory oscilloscope to #1 coil to observe secondary ignition waveform; none present. Disconnected #1 coil, inspected power supply circuit; found no voltage available to coil. Opened up wiring harness in vicinity of coil connector, found prior splice repair to connector; found broken wire at that point. Replaced ignition coil connector pigtails for both cylinder #1 & #3. Started engine and found misfires no longer present. Cleared all faults and test drove vehicle.
