Services Performed
- Scanned all control modules for relevant faults. Found B0084:39, "Right front impact sensor internal electronic failure" stored in restraints controller. Found C0561:71, "System disabled information stored invalid serial data received" stored in brake controller. Found P0011, "Camshaft position system performance" stored in engine controller. Performed visual inspection of right front impact sensor, found it swollen and cracked. Replaced impact sensor, cleared faults, and test drove vehicle. Brake and engine controller faults MAY have been caused by dirty or low engine oil, which was changed during this visit. Should these faults recur, camshaft actuator replacement will likely be required.
- CLIENT REQUESTS MINOR MAINTENANCE SERVICE TO INCLUDE SYNTHETIC OIL CHANGE, WITH UP TO 5 QUARTS OF SYNTHETIC OIL, NEW OIL FILTER, INSPECT CONDITION OF ALL OTHER FLUIDS AND TOP OFF AS NEEDED, INSPECT AIR FILTER, PERFORM MAINTENANCE INSPECTION AND CHECK AND ADJUST TIRE PRESSURES. ADVISE CLIENT OF ANY NEEDED REPAIRS OR SERVICE. Completed topped off all fluids. Reset on-board maintenance reminder.
- Could not verify concern- no related faults stored.
- Scanned all control modules for relevant faults- found B0081:5A stored in restraints controller, indicating plausibility fault between SDM and PPS modules. Inspected PPS module- noted sealing gasket visible at connector when plugged in. Disconnected PPS connector, inspected pins and sockets. Repositioned sealing gasket and restored connection, ensuring connector firmly engaged to module. Cleared all related faults from PPS and SDM.
- Replaced oil pan oil cooler block off plate gasket. Sepage noted from rear main seal area. Recommended rear main seal housing replacement.
- P0011 fault returned after several days. Advised customer camshaft actuator replacement would be required to repair.
