scanned vehicle and the engine has a po128 code in it and their are 2 other codes u0401 and a b1325 code went through the flow chart and the code will be set if voltage drops below 9.5 volts or above 15 volts checked the battery and on start up the voltage dropped to 9 volts installed new battery and re checked voltage is 11 volts on start up and the light is out at this time complete

P0010 – Intake Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Valve Control Circuit P0011 – Camshaft Position A Timing Over-Advanced or System Performance (Bank 1) During my test drive, I was not able to duplicate the customers concern, but felt a small shudder during acceleration. I am able to actuate both cam timing solenoids and circuit tests indicate the circuit is in good condition. Power and ground are supplied correctly and all resistance measurements are within spec. These actuators are very common failures and with all other components in good working order, actuator replacement is recommended. I replaced both the intake and exhaust cam position actuators, cleared the codes, and took the vehicle on a test drive. No check engine light or other issues at this time.

P0300 Multiple cylinder misfire Misfire found coming from several cylinders, esp. cylinders 1, 3, and 7. Spark plugs on these cylinders were only finger tight. Oil is leaking past the piston rings on cylinders 1 and 7, this is a common problem on these DOD LS motors. Compression is good at 160psi, spark is consistent from all 8 coils, but is slightly weaker on coils 1 and 3 which also appear to be older than most of the other coils. Tightened all plugs to proper torque and test drove while watching misfire data and the misfire did not return. Misfire monitor passed during test drive and the check engine light went out on its own.

Test drove to verify concern- noted rattling noise, especially @ idle and in gear. Inspected firewall area on passenger side for source; found transmission filler tube broken away from retaining bracket, causing tube to contact an air conditioning refrigerant pipe. Replaced transmission filler tube. Test drove to verify repair.

Scanned all control modules for relevant faults. Found P0442, "Evaporative system small leak," stored in engine controller. Hoisted vehicle and performed visual inspection- no obvious faults found. Removed EVAP purge solenoid from engine and performed functional testing- OK. Attached low pressure smoke test apparatus to tank purge line and introduced smoke to EVAP system while closing canister vent solenoid with scan tool. Inspected all fuel lines, gas cap, vapor canister, and tank for 30+ minutes. no leak noted. Cycled tank vent solenoid several times with scan tool, and intermittently, vent solenoid would fail to seal tank. Replaced purge solenoid AND vent solenoid, as both parts are known to commonly have intermittent failures. Performed on-board EVAP monitor test with passing results.
